OUR LODGES
Shorea, or Meranti, is a wood that features extensively in our Shorea Lodge. An ode to David, the man who gave our dreams a life, it is a homage to the craftsmanship and work that created and built this lodge. Like David, Shorea provides structure and remains strong and unique when exposed to changing environments. Shorea cannot be warped, it cannot be twisted - and like our Dave, is versatile and partial to some woodworking
Shorea Lodge is our first lodge and is situated close to the banks of the river. It is the perfect space for family or friend gatherings with two seperate units that each sleep four (upstairs and downstairs). A two minute walk over the bridge onto our sand banks where you can enjoy your very own beach. Each unit has been uniquely designed with a handcrafted finishes and a local flare. The units are booked separately, but please feel free to enquire about booking the whole lodge.

Acacia, the iconic South African thorn bush, is a tribute to our family farm in the Karoo. This lodge has a long history and design of a hunting lodge which has become a unique feature of the interior spaces.
Acacia lodge is situated at our grazing area where you can catch our famous zebra and maybe our visiting bushbuck. Acacia Lodge has the best of both worlds - it is close to our Lapa where our swimming pool is and still provides a tranquil atmosphere to relax and getaway from the hustle and bustle of world. Acacia has an upstairs unit that can sleep four with beautifully curated finishes. And downstairs you can find two units that each sleep two.that open up onto the lawns for your morning coffee with our zebra. The units are booked separately, but please feel free to enquire about booking the whole lodge.

Elegia, or Cape Thatch Reeds, are quintessential to the marshes and sands of Stanley Island and now that there is only one thatched house left, this represents the beginning of our journey. This journey is a dream not possible without the endless support of Dani, our mother, and so the Elegia Lodge is her ode.
Like Elegia reeds, Dani nurtures and cares for those they shelter and is indigenous to the heart of our Island.
Our Honeymoon Lodge. Yes, this lodge is the final lodge that has four deluxe units that each sleep two. These en-suite units is perfect getaway for 2. The Deluxe self-catering have kingsize and queen size en-suite bedrooms with free-standing bath and shower. Fully equipped kitchen with open plan lounge and outdoor patio/balcony overlooking the zebra waterhole.

These are our honeymoon suites and we have a surprise for you. We know the stress of arranging a wedding so we decided that we can help you with the planning of your honeymoon. Enjoy a stopover on the Garden Route or spend a few days exploring what we have to offer. This package includes accommodation, breakfast, a couple massage, dinner at our restaurant and boat cruise and picnic up the Keurbooms River.

PRIVATE RIVER CRUISE
Spend your morning or afternoon exploring the Whiskey Creek as we go up the Keurbooms River. Book the boat with your skipper who will dock off at one of the sand banks for some drinks, sun tanning and swimming. Maybe find a spot for your picnic.

We will drop off your basket (fully kitted with a blanket and all). Explore the Island and find some of our hidden gems and make some memories. Don’t forget to tag us!

This is a whole-body therapeutic massage that works the soft tissues to create a calming and balancing effect on the nervous system.
HOT STONE MASSAGE
Enjoy a therapeutic full body massage using aromatherapy oils and warm stones to relieve deep muscle tension. The warmth of the stones helps your muscles to soothe aches and pains, leaving you feeling rejuvenated.
SPORTS MASSAGE
Searching for something to release and reduce tension in your muscles? We have the solution for you. Enjoy a sixty minute Sports Massage. A Sport Massage focuses on enhancing the flow of blood to tissues bringing oxygen to cells which aids healing. It can further reduce the presence of oedema in muscles that can reduce muscle soreness. So for all the athletes coming to join us - take a break and have a massage.
Full package for two is R3000. This excludes accommodation.

No extra guests are to sleep over unless prior arrangements have been made with management. Extra guests will be charged accordingly.
All of our suites are non-smoking areas. There are designated smoking areas outside of the suites.
Stanley Island is home to different wildlife. NO PETS are allowed on the premise.
No noise will be tolerated after 21h30 - please consider other guests and neighbours when departing Stanley Island premises.
Should friends be visiting resident guests, the friends must leave the guesthouse premises at the latest by 21h30.
Pool and braai areas are for the exclusive use of the resident guests unless booked in advance by management.
50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
Online electronic payments are the preferred methods of payment. Credit card facilities are available and arrangements prior arrival can be made.
While every reasonable precaution has been taken to ensure the safety of our guests and their possessions, the owners and management of this establishment and their agents are not responsible for any damage, injury or loss sustained whatsoever.
Stanley Island is self-catering accommodation. Each unit is serviced at least once every two days. If you require the unit to be serviced every day an additional fee will be requested.
The balance owing, and all other charges incurred during your stay are to be settled on the day BEFORE departure.
Please note that we deem you to have accepted our Terms and Conditions once we receive your deposit.
CANCELLATION POLICY.
OUT OF SEASON POLICY (30 MAY - 30 NOVEMBER)
The guest can cancel free of charge until 5 days before arrival.
The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel in the 5 days before arrival.
Guests can request changes for their booking 3 days or more before their check-in.
SEASON POLICY (01 DECEMBER - 29 MAY)
100% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 30 days before arrival or earlier.
50% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 14 days before arrival or earlier.
25% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 7 days before arrival or earlier.
0% refundable if cancelled after.
REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE & KEY DEPOSIT.
Should Stanley Island suffer loss or damage as a result of an act or omission by a guest or a guest's visitor, the guest remains liable for full compensation for the key and will be incurred and will be billed accordingly.
