Stanley Island is the only privately owned island in South Africa, situated in the spectacularly beautiful Plettenberg Bay Keurbooms Lagoon, only 5 km from Plettenberg Bay, Jewel of the Garden Route.

Access to the island for its residents and guests is by our own ferryboat operating, as required, 24 hrs. per day.

Accommodation is in picturesque thatched cottages with double rooms (en-suite, rated for B&B or dinner.

Our highly acclaimed meals are served in our rustic thatched waterside main house. A separate bar, and TV lounge adjoins the dining area.

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of riverine woodland, abundant bird life including the Majestic Fish Eagles, Knysna Loeries and colorful species of Kingfishers. The Island is a bird lovers paradise. You might also get to meet some of our resident wildlife such as the Genets or Springbok.
